One Year Old. No One Told Me I'd Cry.
Who knew I was going to cry this much at her first birthday party? I mean...me...who knew *I* would cry so much at a first birthday party? It was wonderful, as you can see, and she had so much fun (although too much fun that she has to wait now to open her other presents tomorrow - she's all funn-ed out) and was surrounded by all her family. Except a few. Mom and Kenny and Drew are still in Texas, and that's to be expected. And we all miss them, very much. And now, without further ado...Sophia Marie turns one.
As our vacation comes to an end...
I thought I would post a few pictures from some things we did this week. First of all, Sophia took the entire week to open her presents, which, although *I* was excited for her to do it as quickly as possible, turned out to be a really GOOD thing. New stuff to keep her entertained and all. So she received (among other things) a cool crawl-through tunnel from her babysitter (which I imagine will feel better on her knees in our carpeted house), some fingerpaints and she was also treated to a puppet show! She has the coolest aunts! She got to cruise on the beach (and when I say cruise, I mean haul-ass!) and play with her cousins. And speaking of the A-word...I really really meant to get a cute shot of her rear end, but instead - because she likes to MOVE, I ended up getting a not-quite-ready-for-prime-time shot. Maybe next year...
